We did leave Casey in the house while we were gone to the fireworks. But neighborhood people like to set off firecrackers any time of the day during the holiday weekend. Casey & I were on a walk going around the block & a neighbor kid came out of his house & lit a firecracker on his porch just has we were going by! I jumped-Casey jumped & then he barked @ the firecracker & wanted to go chase it down. I could not leave Casey in the house all weekend to avoid the firecracker sounds. I do leave a radio on to help muffle the sounds.
