update on Menu Foods recall!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

There are still dogs and cats getting sick with the recalled foods.They show symptoms of being lethargic, excessive thirstiness and end up with kidney failure. I am doing my best to get word out so word can be passed around, and as many people are made aware of the recalled pet foods manufactured by Menu Foods.

60 million containers of wet food are being recalled.

Menu Foods manufacturers for 17 of the top 20 North American retailers and contracted by many major companies, including Proctor & Gamble.

Weeks before the recall, the company conducted test on its product to 40 to 50 cats and dogs and 7 died as a result. It is possible wheat gluten protein from a new supplier could have been the contamination.

The recall covers pet food made at Emporia, Kansas and Pennsauken, New Jersey.

It is very sad when we feed our pets, food from companies with names we trust, like Iams, Science Diet, Eukanuba. I know the results of what happened will not be over for a long time, but at least if we can be made aware of the danger out there now, it can help pet owners and their pets.
