Someone shared with me this photo, and I liked it very much, it reminds of the unconditional love kaley~corgi shows me. Often I get stories and pictures and share, because they touch my heart, and I share them and hope it touches yours. Read it and then I’ll tell you a little more.

The story with the picture.
She is pregnant and he had just saved her from a fire in her house, rescuing her by carrying her out of the house into her front yard, while he continued to fight the fire. When he finally got done putting the fire out, he sat down to catch his breath and rest. A photographer from the Charlotte , North Carolina newspaper, noticed her in the distance looking at the fireman. He saw her walking straight toward the fireman and wondered what she was going to do. As he raised his camera, she came up to the tired man who had saved her life and the lives of her babies and kissed him just as the photographer snapped this photograph.
Now a little bit more. I wanted to know more about the story so I did a little digging and this is what I found. The picture was taken in 1999 in Charlotte, NC. It has been circulating for a long time. Kevin Fischer, a Milwaukee Broadcaster. decided to find out if the story, as sweet as it is, was an “urban myth”. The story turns out to be essentially true, the only fanciful addition was that the firefighter hadn’t actually saved the dog. He said that she had left the burning house on her own while he was doing a scan to save people. Kaley says she was probably just thanking him for all his efforts to protect her, her family and her home. The doberman’s name was Cinnamon, she was pregnant and had litter of five puppies. She lived to be nine and finally crossed the great rainbow bridge this past January. Read Kevin’s story with the link below, it includes and interview with the firefighter.
So as Kevin Fischer wrote, “So the original story that may have cluttered your inbox wasn’t totally accurate, but it’s still pretty darn good.”

no, not saved from any fire, just a good night kiss —- to daddy —– still very special.
Have a great rest of the weekend, with your pup or without….Today kaley`corgi gets to go swimming —– if you read her dock diving story, she did well, but did not swim…. i think if i got in the water, she will.
